Dog_world2You are invited to join us as we celebrate the formation of The German Shepherd Dog Club of America in 1913 and the Breed’s CENTURY OF SERVICE TO MANKIND.

The history lesson you will receive will span one hundred years from 1913 to 2013.

You will meet many famous people and influential dogs from the past.

A Comprehensive Documentary about the History

A Comprehensive Documentary about the History of the Parent Club and the German Shepherd Dog will be introduced at the Centennial Celebration. This Historical Documentary will be available for purchase after the Centennial Presentation and in the German Shepherd Dog Club of America store.


The Historical Documentary will lead you through the development of the breed in Germany, the formation of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, the Breed in America, the Versatility of the Breed and of course the civic and war time services  performed for our Country by this noble breed.

Other Plans for Celebrating the GSDCA's 100 Year Anniversary

  • A collector’s illustrated book with detailed history of the German Shepherd Club and the Breed will be available.
  •  Civilian and Military active handlers and their K-9 companions will be honored in a ceremony.
  •  Veteran K-9 handlers from various conflicts will be honored
  • A cocktail party, banquet, and dancing will follow the presentation
  • A gala banquet, historical presentation , entertainment and dancing  will celebrate 100 years of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America and honor our Breed.

We hope that you will join us for this Memorable Event, October 9 through 13, 2013, in Gloucester County, NJ (20 -  25 minutes from Philadelphia International Airport).
